Is anyone here using it as well ?

PS: I got legit copy, not downloaded actually, I pre-ordered it in mid summer, I finally got it now, it was worth. I got it for half price

I said same, for XP when Vista appeared, and now im on XP SP3. Dont let euforia eat you.

Well, I used vista for 2 years, and it caused me many problems, while i was surfing, browsing, msn and stuff. I formatted many times, but still the same problem. Then, I realized it was actually the OS, bcse i installed linux on the same pc, and no problems at all.

Now I am on windows 7 x64 and its running like if i was running XP. The only thing that bugged me until now, is the fact that it needs 20 GB of my HDD just for the OS itself. And XP takes 4-5 GB..

For Vista - true, for W7 - false. But still there is major problem with both Vista and W7. Games works much better on XP, lets say about 30-40% (performance)

Just one question, do you guys share my problem, every time when some application bugs ( i.e mozzila ) I get major lags and that application then takes 100% of my processor.

Btw, about the RAM usage. I am doing nothing (w3 open, msn, chrome, AV) and its using 1.36 GB out of 4.00 GB.

I'm using Win 7 (64bit) for about a more than month and I'm very satisfied. Much better than XP or Vista, in my opinion.

You have it included in ur windows. And its updating via windows update. I dont think i saw official download anywhere.

ABout games and ram...it's obvious. W7 defenetly takes more RAM then XP so playing a game on the same machine will be slower on W7 because the OS itself can't just shut down or lower the usage while playing but it keeps working on normally. But if you have enough ram there should be no difference between XP/w7 gaming.

Cen you got my point. I think 3 GB + = good on W7.
