Leagues and bots killed the game and the community, the environment was made very toxic to new players.
Let's say you're new, you wanna join a custom game, all hostbots have stats, you're new so you dont have stats, everyone assumes that you got banned for something and made a new account or you're a noob - you get kicked.
Too much democracy done wrong, so there are maps with an 'established' playstyle thati s considered effective but you wanna play the way YOU want or wanna try something different, they kick you off the team - pure cancer.
Hostbots, you join a game, 1/10 slots filled you wait forever in the lobby.
After Garena fucked up i predicted that EUrobattle would take in all their community but it didnt happen just because of the toxic environment for new players.
I'm sorry to say i dont see any fix for this, even if you ban all the automated hostbots and the stats bots and encourage new players to make their own servers, too few have remained.

I just watched it yesterday. I thought it will be terrible but it was actually fine. I'd recommend it if you are a fan of the series.
