ok, i'm going to buy a new pc- sth cheap and i have a few questions to any PRO in pcs.
1.OS: XP or Vista? I'm kinda pro in tweaking XP as I wish but i thought it;s kinda old so mby Vista would be better? though i have vista only on my laptop so i;m uber noob in it. So i'm just wondering is there any sense of staying on xp? does the Vista have faster boot time, etc? and how about those microsoft updates on a pirate system? can i dl them without any risk?
2.CPU: i can't provide links to the cpus i'm thinking of but in general: is Intel much better than AMD now(i will link both cpus soon)
3.Memory: ddr3, right?
4. HDD: I had seagate but it suffered a malfunction so i wanna western digital now. How about this speed?-7200 or 10000? I'm thinkg about either faster 320Gb or slower 500gb
5.power supply. is 400-450W sufficient? Now i have a chieftec 450 which broke down after 1,5 year-i mean it's still working but the fan bearing is kinda damaged and it makes strange noises. Is there any other good brand? Modecom or Tracer or sth.

-hmmm dunno i would go for windows 7 because xp is old and let say freezing and vista is crap.(however i have vista coz it was along with notebook)
-cpu: man whether u have cpu with million of GHZ 12-core or 2ghz dual core it doesnt matter imo. Because some "hardcore" cpu is like heating machine= better power supply+ good luck playing in summer( in your room will be temperature 50-60 celsius degrees) because only difference could be that u will not load game in 7 seconds but only in 5 seconds.
-memory: yes ddr3 is good, i have in this pc 1gb ddr1 and it can handle all(newest games fail only on graphics) so if u will have 2-4 gb of DDR3 it will be efficient even in far future.
-hdd: man 10000 rpmn have server harddisks......so iwould take 7200rpmn one, and size depends on you, if u are able to burn movies on dvds ..... i have here 160gb one and used is like60-100gb (never was used more, my retarded brother sometimes install one game 5-6x so +/- 30gb) so i would choose 320, if u want store blu ray movies then even 1TB is low.
-power supply? it depends on sum of all devices mentioned above, if u want build it yourself then u need to be careful choosing motherboard (different cpu socket etc...)
-u forgot very important thing and its graphic card. Dunno here i have 128mb ati(it can handle newer games too e.g. stalker-but low details) and in notebook some shared so dunno, so if i were u i would choose 1-2gb dunno ATI/nvidia someone say ati sucks others say nvidia sucks however if i remember best graphic card of ati is 30% better than best card from nvidia.
Graphic card is only thing which may get inefficient part in future.

thanks for answer. I didn't mention graphic card coz I'm gonna use my old one, bought 2 years ago for a load of money, which is sth like sapphire radeon 2900 pro (512 ddr3). Today I've realized it's kinda crap now but it could easily handle wow on full details so I'm not gonna waste money for anything new. I need this pc for: ms office, 3ds max, w3, wow and mby some porn I;m too old to play all that fancy games so I hope it's gonna be enough. One more question: what is the difference between 2x1GB and 2GB of RAM? (except for consuming 2 and 1 slot)

ok, one more question: i found windows 7, let;s call it somewhere. multiple rar files which at the end gives .iso image and this activator/crack. I'm wondering what do I burn onto DVD?-This iso file or I'll have to open it using ultra iso and burn folders onto dvd? Anyone who has done sth like this before?

i would unpack it with some winrar (winrar can open .iso too) And those files simply burn on dvd like u burn anything else.

i will probably stick to xp... This windows 7 DVd is supposed to be a bootable DVD so: u restart PC, enter BIOS, change to boot from CD/DVD and u get installation screen where u install. I'm just wondering is .iso ok for this boot DVD or u have to unpack. but i've read that win 7 has some fcking hard anti-pirate securities so i'll take good&old xp probably.

Tomorrow (Friday) i have to work and show my "abilities" to the owner of my firm, he'll be there tomorrow just to evaluate me so Spork will take care of Ni line up till i come (Line up made already).
I guess i will come before CW starts, maybe at 17:00 around but i'm not sure, we never know.
Did you set your line up in ESL already ?

Edit: I'll meet with Ni players in server at 17:00 (Hope so), to set GARENA channel etc.
Any channel in mind ? (Not channels that requires a certain level or region please)
