[GDPR] Personal information request and account deletion

Eurobattle.net is located in EU and operates 2 forums and a gaming server which means we fall under the new EU regulation in regard to personal data (GDPR).

Since forum software (vbulletin 4) and server software (pvpgn) are either unsupported or very lightly maintained we cannot provide automatic means for personal data requests and data deletion requests via this software.

This topic will serve for personal data requests (Article 15) and data deletion requests (Article 17) for EU citizens.

We have also updated our terms of service to link to this topic and explain precisely which pesonal information is collected.

All you need need to provide is your forum and/or server usernames which you want deleted. e.g:

Forum account: cen
Server account: cen
Lagabuse account: cen

Request: personal data request/deletion of account

The action will be executed within a month.

What personal data does eurobattle.net collect and what gets deleted?

What we gather on forum
-email address
-public IP
-any personal info you share in your profile or forum posts

What do we use this information for
To have a functioning forum. We don't analyze this data or sell it to anyone, it is used exclusively for the needs of the forum.

What gets deleted from forum
-your account
-your posts will be anonymized under a guest account

If you also want to erase all your posts you must let us know. We preserve the right to keep your posts if they fall under public interest exception (Article 17, section 3d).

What we gather on desktop client and pvpgn
-public IP
-operating system user
-MAC address (hashed)
-BIOS name (hashed)
-timestamp of client installation date

What do we use this information for
To prevent the usage of our platform to people who violate our TOS and server rules. We don't analyze this data or sell it to anyone, it is used exclusively against TOS violators.

What gets deleted from client/server database
-server account
-the above mentioned data

We preserve the right to not delete some of the data in case the requesting user violated our TOS and had/has the account locked on our platform to keep the violating user from using our platform in the future.
