Barely anyone is using matchmaking. You can host games manually (using normal gateway) Or you can host melee maps by name on some bots, for example lagabuse.com : [url]http://dota.eurobattle.net/la/forum/index.php?topic=40.0[/url] (Requires gproxy gateway)
Make sure you have port forwarded 6112 and use normal gateway but yeah, not many people search for games so you might have a hard time finding opponents.
