Hello, I'm a new player here.
Most of the times I can't see what people are typing in the in-game chat, their names appear but after that - nothing or just a bracket or another symbol. Could anyone tell me, please, what is wrong?

Notice how there's text missing in the chat area, only the punctuations are there.
The same thing happens in game.

I tried a full fresh install of wc3 and FT, and the eurobattle installer.

The issue appears in both modes
I honestly don't know what would cause this. I saw it once on some weird bots but never in every game.

Maybe that map is bugged. Does it happen with another maps and for how long you have that problem?? I saw on other forums problems with textures [not related with war craft], so maybe your war crafy is corrupted - missing textures or similar.
Happens on different maps, but not all maps.
It does show some parts of the text, so i am guessing its not a texture issue. I feel like its either the server not sending me the text in a correct format, or maybe its a unicode issue.
It can be also problem with game if it was downloaded from internet, missing some files.
If you are braver enough, log your tcp traffic with wireshark and see what text you are receiving. If that is fine it must be a bad w3 copy.
