Got that error just before the setup finished. I am using windows 7, ran the setup with administrator rights, it seems like it is not working. What can I do?

How can I fix it?

Can you try to reinstall your w3 from a different source? Seems like w3 is corrupted.

It really isn't any way of solving this instead of uninstalling? Maybe it's a registry problem, I don't know.. By the way, I'm using this version of W3 for at least one year and it worked well..
Well, the fact that MPQ editor crashes makes me think your archives are corrupt.
Anyway, you can manually install by:
1. Get w3 loader and put in w3 directory [url]http://keres.myftp.org/[/url]
2. Ask a friend who plays here to send you gproxy.exe and war3patch.mpq

Got the files, I'm still getting "Shadowflare MPQ Archiver has stopped working" when the setup tries to install channel icons.
Channel icons are not necessary for it to work.
