We would like to bring an important update into public.
Since few weeks ago we have implemented a warden-like system into our hostbots, which allows us a very accurate detection of maphack used by players.
Thanks to this system we have managed to catch more than 1000 maphackers in just few weeks. We will continue to do so as we seek a hacks-free server as one of our main goals.
Anyone caught hacking on official bots will be instantly locked. Chances of getting unbanned are very low, so if you are asking for unban make sure you were banned by mistake. All unban topics created by maphacking trolls will be instantly closed.
No proofs will be provided in this types of ban.
If you are caught maphacking 3 times in a row after getting your accounts locked, we will enforce IP ban or worse.
Temporar banlist is still in use, hopefully not for much longer.
I would also like to warn all users of Topaz chat. This program is probably one of the best chat clients created but it has one major flow: it can expose your account password (says it on your auto-join channel or in channel Chat).
Therefore the program is a big security risk and we do not recommend using it.
Instead of topaz, you can use [URL="http://dotabot.net/uploads/Osiris.zip"]Osiris[/URL]. It works just as good.
I would also like to apologise for the server icons mess.. unfortunately for us the server owner was moving the server at the time when we wanted to update the pvpgn. We will do our best to pull it off as soon as possible.
