I am a c++ developer and trying to host a public bot for EuroTurkiye (also a member of hack team in EuroTurkiye). Bots are ghost++. I think there is a common problem with those bots that; the players join the game with a different game name, (for instance I want to join the private game px, but in game lobby, i look at the game name is far more different DOTA BR x5 or sth like that). Unfortunately if a game starts with players having that problem, they are immediately dropped only after the loading screen disappears.
The second possibility is when I typed the game name and hit enter, I am dropped to the channel again. After several tries (for 6 7 for me) I can barely join my own game. Also other players have that issue.
I think this is a GProxy problem, I have tried to post also in codelain forum;
However, there are platforms making use of their own host bots without that problem. I heard they are distributing a custom GProxy. I never downloaded a custom GProxy other than the EB suggests, but while I can enter their games without experiencing any problem, I cannot join games hosted by Ghost++.
And it is a bit weird that those platforms also use Ghost++.
cen, could you please clarify your answer?
note: I am absolutely not the one who faces the wrong game name problem. Nearly half of the players entering our games experiences, unfortunately in every minute in lobby we have to warn them whether the game name they see is actually the game name they have intended to join. Otherwise they must rejoin until the correct name appears at the right top corner.

You must run gproxy and war3 after the time you run hostbot so... if your hostbots run for about 1 or more days and you try join then you won't have any problem.
