Since we started banning players for dropping, i will post you tutorial about GProxy presented by Keny in Safelist forum.(I'm lazy to write everything myself)
1. Download the GProxy : [url]http://app2.eurobattle.net/download/index.php?id=57[/url]
2. Unzip the archive, start gproxy.exe
- It will ask you for war3 path, cd-key for tft and roc. Its capital F 26 times (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF)
- Put your username/password and server.
- After that, open gproxy.cfg and check if lines are as written under. Check last line expecially, it must have "= pvpgn" !
Code:
server = server.eurobattle.net
username =your_bnet_user
password =your_bnet_pass
channel = ss-tour (ss)
### optional config values
war3version = 24
port = 6125
exeversion =
exeversionhash =
passwordhashtype = pvpgn
Start gproxy.exe again and it should connect to bnet. In the console of gproxy you have to search the game and you can do that typing /game gamename(e.g. : /game tour1, where tour1 is the gamename). After you typed /game tour1 open war3(with euroloader) and go to LAN. After few sec you'll see the game in BLUE LETTERS(very important) and enter it. If the gamename isnt in blue letters you arent protected by gproxy.
If your internet connection drops, you have 3 minute to make it running again(redial, restart pppoe, etc). I've test it and its fully working, but keep in mind this : GPROXY WILL NOT help if your PC reboots itself(power loss, blue screen, etc), and I dont know if its working with war3 fatal error(wich means you must restart war3 again), I didnt test that. That's all , if you have questions post here, but I think I covered all the steps/problems that might appear.
IMPORTANT : Under ANY circumstances DO NOT close war3, if you receive the "waiting for host" message, let it wait, and fix your redial/reconnect.
Also : DO NOT close/restart GPROXY.exe.
