What about 1.31?

I grew up in here playing the real dota many years ago... But since development of my own map takes all my free time, i haven been here for 10 years, so i don't know how you guys operate and what are your goals.

I wanna ask you about warcraft versions. How and why you go from one patch to another? What is your aim? Why stick to the 1.26? Is 1.28 your final patch? Will you be making to 1.31 eventually? Why do we need 1.26 communities? If your final goal is the latest pre-reforged version of w3, then what is keeping you from going straight to it now? Human resources? Money to pay to IT people?

My perfect dreamworld is where we have one 1.31 community for the whole world to play and keep making maps while watching from a safe distance with distrust at blizzard and what it is doing with reforged. Why are the reason for us not having it yet?

My map is very resource heavy, definitely not working in 1.26. I need stable, but relatively modern warcraft platform to create in, since reforged was deepthroated to us by force :(

Our wise leader should review this.

We use 1.26 because that is what d1stats DotA needs and that is 90% of our games today.

We use 1.28 because that is the last thing w3l loader supports. After that, blizzard changed and encrypted game protocols and nobody either knows or has the time and willingness to "crack" it.

I think that should pretty much answer all your questions. From our point of view, unless a miracle happens, 1.28 is the latest patch we will ever support.

what about Reforged? :)

Can we do manual updates ? a.k.a. changing units HP, AD, stats etc. stay on same 1.28 patch but be up to date with 1.31 unit stats.

I am not sure where this data is stored so I personally have no idea.

It should be possible to implement 1.31 balance manually (except new things like 24 players). But i don't think its worth it

Thats a problem nowdays

We have to admit that the 1.28.5 patch was pretty balanced. And not a lot of changes have been brought.
KOTL is not OP in this one and BM is the only threat out there. But it can be countered, obviously.

Hey man have you find the platform that you are looking for already? I've been finding other ways to play Survival Chaos other than the official bnet servers since the entgaming.net's demise.

Irina is a hostbot that's mainly promoted on Iccup, but they are here too, which means, they don't use 1.31.
