Hi,
and thx for your attention.

since 1 or 2 week when I create a game a lot of players say to me that they have a lot of lag.

This is quite strange because my connection seams ok . I checked a lot of time and I’m doing a upload test , every thinks is ok.

Other information:
- When I’m in the chat mi ping is 43 or less.
- I’m using ghost++ (since 1 month)
- I removed all antivirus.
- And my firewall is always disabled.
- All port on the router are ok ( I didn’t touch them sice 1 year)

My question in why whe I host a game the most part of player have a lag ?

Use Ghost ++. It will reduce your lag.

So, the problem is your connection speed. I recommend to stop the host games.

i don't think that is a connection speed.

I'm using a DuMeter (it is a softwar that show graficaly the upload and download speed used).

and during the game the maximum upload used is 20 Kb.

Seams that there is no solution.
But the stange think is that till 2 weeks ago all was working perfectly.

1. Online internet speed tests are irelevant to your problem in discussion becouse the test is made on a very high speed server which cant be compared to your average user home internet.
2. Your internet connection as long as it's a decent one, doesnt affect at all the ingame lags.
2a) Eventhough your internet is fine,if you have more applications runing, that require your internet connection, this would normaly lag your hosting.
2b) In Internet providing business theres a thing called "peering" which is basicaly an agreement between internet service providers (ISPs) followed by a series of connections between them (usualy made by using fiber optic cable) that exponentialy increases the download/upload speed between these ISP's clients.
If theres no peering or very weak peering between you and the players joining no game, its bery probable that they will have lags.

Recomandations : Dont use ghost unless you have a dedicated host for it (different computer than the one you play on with its own internet connection, not a shared connection either)
If you use ghost on the same computer, its simply,useless...:tiphat:

Guys, will you please stop suggesting wron things like your connection su*?

@!aiciu: After you run ghost, go to task manager (ctrl+alt+del), find ghost.exe and set its priority higher. In game when people say that they have "lag", in most cases it means they have common delay. Do !ping and regarding to their pings set !lattency i.e. if ping is less then 100 then latency should be also less then 100.

also ingame try this command: !synclimit x. (x is a number). i don't know what number will work for you but for me !synclimit 300 works fine.

If you dont know what synclimit do, dont suggest to change it. Synclimit is a number of lost packets before lagscreen appears, it has nothing to do with delay or spike.

hi Mitsuki,
I tested what you suggest me.

IT SEAMS WORKING!!! :)

I don't know if
- because i did what you suggest me (high priority of ghost.exe process)
- or due to the server maintenace (after 1 day offline).

by the way my problem was always present for 2 weeks but yesterday no.
I will check what will happen if I don't increase the priority of ghost.exe process.

Anyhow thx for your (and all other person) support!
