anyway Tevez did a hand ball in his own penalty box so it should have been 1-1. Plus the goal was luck, Rooney tried to shoot not pass.

And about chelsea , it was just luck that roman abramovich bought them of all clubs in england , every team in england premiership could have those titles that chelsea took if roman abramovich made other decision, so , in my eyes , chelsea is not great club.

Anderson was 25 with same option as Nani, if he play all matches will cost 30 milion.

from what i heard nani+anderson was close to £30mil and hargreaves was
£15-18 mil....but the point to note is not the money u have and stuff but is the quality u buy

chelsea used money to buy success but did any of them really justify their price tag?
liverpool as well have used their funds available over the years but wasted
most of them started with cisse, diouf and such...torres now as many know
is the best buy but imho he could have got more success with man utd..he
was just tempted by the spanish armada.

why no one talk bout wenger? even he's has limited funds, he used them
wisely and still produce one of the best squads in the league.Now they have
a new stadium and getting the renevue they should be getting.On the hand,
liverpool is the one to blame for not building the success they have during the 80's.

Man utd build their success from scratch,expanding,merchandise sales and thus making them one of the richest club with a large fan base.So u cant always say that the club with more money win trophies.If u want to compare,
we can only say we are the better businessman =) and make use of the money we have.

Ronaldo's goals this season are against:

Sporting 1-0 (1)
Birmingham 1-0 (1)
Wigan 4-0 (2)
Kiev 4-1 (2)
Arsenal 2-2 (1)
Kiev 4-0 (1)
Blackburn 2-0 (2)

West Ham 1-2 (1)
Aston Villa 2-0 (1)
Newcastle 6-0 (3)
Reading 2-0 (1)
Tottenham 3-1 (2)
Portsmouth 2-0 (2)

*Ronaldo has scored the winner in all of these games

this season so far:
27 goals in 28 games

Goals:
4 freekicks (the 90th minute winner against Sporting, Sunderland, NewCastle, and Pompey)
4 penalties (Kiev, Derby, Everton, Tottenham)
the rest are from open play; headers, solo runs, volleys, both feet, tap-ins, etc.
he's got 19 in the league so far (2 pens)

Note: He scored 9 goals in last 5 games...

this was all the info I could get :)

Ronaldo has 19 goals in 27 matches in the Premiership.lol, no, there are just 24 games played so... you are wrong:P
I think he played 20 games in the premiership, I remember he was suspended for 3 games due to a redcard he received in the first game vs man city. he has smth like 19 goals in 20 matches in the premierleague.

Partizan sucks really hard in football, just like all other Serbian and Croatian football clubs.

It would be wise if Partizan will stick up with basketball, they are good at..

It is not possible to compare two of such football players...well it is,
but it is like ur comparing Math and Biology.

C. Ronaldo is Attacking midfilder player. He can play both, flank and center.
He uses his speed to pass the oponents, and to get the opportunity to take a shot at goal.
He is agile, very quick feet, powerful and unprecise shot.
The only way a standard stoper can stop him is to foul him ^^

Peter C. is supposed to be the type of the player like Drogba, Klose, Adebayor, Luca Toni, Trezeguet, Morientes..
I dont know how it is called in English..
But the players I named here are ten times better than he is :)

yea we were terrible, but life goes on.... it's a good thing we lost, we needed a cold shower after england. and we do need to kick that Joe Shimunic out of our squad, that dude is gettting more useless by the day.

they really scored two dumb goals, but it just points out that we need to work on our defence.

such weak words like "bye bye football" are really uncalled for. we lost to netherlands, big ****in deal, some1's gotta lose. i think we need to develop our team, which is still young, and stay focused and down to earth.

Well we all know how football is really expensive sport. Millions of money included here.
There are two really good ways Croatian foorball should develop:

1. We must invest big amount of money to improve our game play. We do this by building more stadiums (gosu), recruting more young and tallented foorball players, we must find really good caoches to develop our youth, and much more.

We are not rich country, we are not able to invest so much money like England, Italy, Spain, France...etc did.

This lead me to make a conclusion, that our football (club and national) will stay underdeveloped for a long time.
There may be a lucky thing like 1998. year when we had really imba team, glorious.
I believe this may happen again, and I truly hope so.

This is important part of my post.
If you take a look at Croatian success in other sports, you will notice that football is smth we are not good in.
Take a look at skiing, tenis, handball, K1, boxing, water-polo, athletics, we were imba in basketball and I believe we can be again. Maybe I forgot soem sports, I'm not clear minded atm :)

Croatian football is just started to develop, it takes a lot of time and money, so I hope you understand why I'm so disappointed. Not just me.

Since we dont have a lot of money it is a great risk to invest so much in football, coz there is a good chance we will acomplish nothing, as we did so far.
Since football is ten times more expensive than other sports, I believe it is good idea to invest it in other sports we are good at to be even better.
PPL from Balkan are not talented for football, and that is true fact, whole eastern Eurpoe is unskilled in football, there are exceptions ofc.
We were allways making better success in othere sports.

I'm not saying we should stop playing football at all, we must not expect much from it, since we are not investing in it.

You live in Zadar ?? me too, ok.
So Imagine a situation where Zadar stops playing football at all. City is investing all money in Basketball. Zadar gets into Euroleague and reaches Final 16 !
This is smth I am dreaming about. Zadar is not called ''The shrine of Basketball'' for nothing. More money should be invested here.
Zadar will never do smth in football no matter how much City will invest in it.
So why bothering ?

It was different some time ago when There was SFRJ. (at least in football)
It is more likely to find good players in 6 Countries than in one.
You know Yugoslavian football successes ? They where better than each (Serbian, Croatian...) national combined together :)

There is an idea to make a football league like National League Basketball, where the best football clubs from few countries would play in the same league.

I think it is a good idea :)
With that, only Dinamo, Hajduk and mby Rijeka would play there so other Cro cities could invest their money in other sports.

~whatever, sports is a more than just a game. It is complicated, politics is closly connected with it.
Ppl at the top are fools or they are greed.

LOL I spent 15 minutes on this.
This is one of the reasons I am not posting in this threads. I have so much to say, and I have no time.

and other..I noticed some ppl posting here don't even know what football is..they are just shouting blablabla is the best bla bla bla, this club is better than anothar.. and much more...
I'm in only for serious discussion about football Club and National football, not spam here

fatman69
8th February 2008, 12:48 PM
y i agree that we shouldn't investo so much in football. i was just stating that it isn't fair to be fan of your national squad at one time, and the second they lose, just to go **** over them. that was my point, but yes, we should (like all other countries in development) slow down with our national pride and similar bull**** when investing our money in football and focus on other things.

if there's a thing that makes me puke and vomit in crotia it's our "pride and joy " club Dinamo. millions of tax-payers money are invested in their squad, in their new stadium, ffs about 100-200 millions a year and what do we get....we get a ****in bosnian in charge of a club that struggles to beat somne afgans or kazahs or what-nots. and that same bosnian(or herzegovinian, it's the same to me) boasts around how he's a proud member of croatia and when press says a bad word about him (which is really CALLED for) he hits them, and calls them "anti-croats". i mean wtf, you're bosnian wtf do u know what it's like to be a croat??
and that is not the worst part. that very same club sold Eduardo to arsenal for, dunno exactly, 20-30 million euros. and if the country gives cash to that same club, shouldnt the tax be payed for that transfer? of course it should. was the tax payed? ofc it WASNT! get the **** out of here. that's why i hate croatian football (league, not our squad, i adore our every squad as every man should adore his). our clubs are mooching and milking our country and *****ing how their funds are low, but when it comes to paying taxes for transfers, those bastards forgot where they got the money from to buy those players they're selling in the first place....

[EDIT] wow so many ****, gotta chill :D

Everything clear enough? Ronaldo is good against the teams who does not play good in the defence. He can trick one defend if he got whole field free, as soon as there are more players, he is just a watcher. What is more funny, he isn't even trying to defend at all, he is playing a midfielder or what?

Damn, everyone thinks he is god these days...

Well they deserve it but CIV play better football somehow i think that CIV can win everyone[@Africa] except Egypt they are like anti-team vs CIV

Congrats to the Egyptians :P.
Chelsea V Liverpool was dissapointing, and wtf Rafa used Pennant instead of Kewell.

11th February 2008, 09:58 AM
yea man utd really sucked vs city, but that's life. you gotta lose sometime...

as far as ACN (africa) goes, i really don't think it was worth watching, i've seen replays from last cup (egypt won as well) and it was pretty non-interesting.... although africa holds some good players.

but congrats to egypt, and i gotta admit, they are one great team, not so much in attractive plays but as in real team. i like those kinds of teams, they have spirit.
while some1 mentioned Ivory Coast, they sux IMO. they got good players but those players hardly co-operate...

congrats to Egypt

and wtf Rafa used Pennant instead of Kewell.

Man i can't believe that you said this,i mean cmon he is one of the worse players in L'pool since he was injured,he played too much in last games and he didn't show anything,so i think that he will stay as reserve for a while...

As a token of respect for the 50th anniversary of the Munich disaster, I just thought I should do something so I went into the trouble of taking a screencap from the 1958 Utd lineup against Red Star Belgrade. Enjoy.

Fatalities:
* Geoff Bent
* Roger Byrne
* Eddie Colman
* Duncan Edwards
* Mark Jones
* David Pegg
* Tommy Taylor
* Liam 'Billy' Whelan
* Walter Crickmer - Club Secretary
* Bert Whalley - Chief Coach
* Tom Curry - Trainer

damn i just watched Liverpool- Inter... man that was 80 minutes of my life down the drain. if only some1 could have cut me those 2 shots by torres and those great goals it would have saved me enormous ammount of time. i wouldn't have to spend my days when i'm supposed to study for my exams watching the most boring football on earth (until 80')... i saw the higlights of Olympiacos-Chelsea, even that game was better and that 1 ended 0-0

as far as other games go i really feel sorry for Real, that Roma just played *** defense after 2-1. but that's football i guess
