Account activation was added to the server a long time ago with intent to get revenue from ads shown on the activation page.
This is no longer needed today so we have removed the need to activate accounts.
- all new accounts are activated forever
- all old accounts have been activated for a long period
- if you still happen to get the activation error on login, activation form will activate your account for a very long time
