Blizzard releases 1.28.3, future plans

Blizzard is releasing a new patch today, one important fix is for user with non ascii-chars for windows login.

This transition should go much smoother than 1.28.2. I'll probably have a beta server ready on thursday to test this new patch unless w3l changes will be needed. In that case it will have to wait. THose who are already on 1.28.2 won't have to download 1.5GB patch again, we will push a differential update through our client instead. Seperately a new installer and WVS will be prepared for fresh users.

I also started working on client support for dual versioning between 1.26 and 1.28.X to bring new d1stats DotA releases to lagabuse, SS and brazil. I think I'll have a testing version ready by next week.

More to be announced as soon as things are ready.

I'm curious here, why version 1.26? Before 1.28 we used 1.27b and no one complained on it. Was perfect for playing.

According to dracolich it is "best" version. But 1.27 should also work. Will see.

Now 1.28.4 is out. And yes, I think it fixes XP users. Will test today personaly.
