View Full Version : Could not start War3.exe! Error with Avast

If you are getting the error in this screenshot:

..it is probably Avast antivirus removing your war3.exe because it thinks it is a virus for unknown reason.
It seems this problem suddenly appeared today, probably with some bad avast virus definition update.

Make sure you whitelist war3.exe in avast!

Thats why i was without problems yesterday. I deleted avast 1 month ago and have avg now, so everything work 100% and avg is much better antivirus.

Added both Eurobattle(xspam) directory and Warcraft III directory to avast exclusions, still not working, it pisses me off srsly. I haven`t had a problem for years with it, and just yesterday got this stupid message. I tried everything. Help if any1 made it this far with the problem and has a solution. Ty.

To solve this problem >Open avast interface (menu) >STATISTICS >Component status > Items stored in the virus chest > Right click on war3.exe (restore and add to exclusions).
