[!] New server installer and gproxy

Dear players!

It is roughly one year since we introduced the gproxy and the inbuilt antihack system. We have banned more than 20.000 accounts since then but the design had some flaws and hackers found the way to bypass our protection rather soon. Another reason why it was not as successfull as we would want is that playdota.eu (now lagabuse) did not want to implement the system.

Things have now changed.

Today we are releasing new server installer with new gproxy which should solve all hacker problems, at least for the short period.

News and features, installer 1.26a version 3:
-added tier5x-nightelf and tier6x-human icons to fix the PG profile bug
-changed the design of installer, now icons have a seperate screen so it's less possible to make an error and skip it
-added gproxy 1.7.3

Gproxy 1.7.3 news:
-some new sounds and replaced some old annoying sounds
-new antihack system
-auto !sc when joining a game

New GProxy will be enforced in 3 days on the following leagues: lagabuse, ss, br, edbrl, ro, czsk, tr. If you won't have it you won't be able to join any games.


If we find an exploit or a bypass for the current system we might release a fixed version soon after. If not, the next installment will come with our own client and updates will become automatic. We hope to release our own client with gproxy integration by the end of this year.


Hack rules update:
-any external programs that give you an advantage in game which you normally wouldn't have, even manabars, is prohibited. Warkeys or similar is an exception.
-anyone caught 2 times with maphack will get his whole computer locked and won't be able to play on any protected league anymore.


Troubleshooting installer and GProxy
1. Make sure you have .NET Framework (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851) and Visual C++ Redistributable (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29) installed before you run the installer/gproxy
2. Make sure your antivirus or firewall is not blocking installer/gproxy.
3. GProxy reports registry error and shuts down: download w3fixer and fix your w3 registry (file in attachement)
4. W3 shuts down after login: check gproxy.log in your W3 directory or go to desktop after hitting login button and see what gproxy says before crash.

Some more general facts for new users:
-in order to play PG or host a custom game manually, you have to connect to server the normal way. Do not start gproxy and select Eurobattle.net gateway instead of Gproxy gateway.
-if you are using gproxy and lose your internet connection for a short period of time do not panic. Simply wait for your connection to come back and gproxy will reconnect you to the game. DO not click disconnect or close w3.
-when joining hostbots which require spoofcheck gproxy will automatically spoofcheck for you. In any case you can use !sc command to do it manually.

The game crashes when trying to login with Gproxy ( It works without it, but i can't play any dota games ).

Later edit : Nvm, i had reinstalled my windows and the W3 registries were gone. I used W3 registry fixer and now i can login, but i still can't join any game that requires Gproxy (I tested only the Ro bots, but i guess it wouldn't work on the SS ones and the others).

Laterrrrr edit : I can enter the playdota games, but still can't join the RO ones.

It should not be used because it can act as sort of a maphack in some situations. I do not know off the top of my head if we included it tho.

There seems to be a bug in W3Fixer because it might add Diablo II on the end of the path when you are fixing the Installpath. Make sure you remove that if it happens. If someone finds me a better version please let me know.

Also let me know if you noticed any increased ping or lag in-game.

Hi, I have a problem. I have patches Gproxy allows me to write nickname and password but when I will sign my whole game crashes and Gproxy closes. In phase I Gproxy logging writes: local socket disconnected and deleting connection. I started to do it after downloading a new Gproxy and W3Fixer.zip. diablo II file I deleted everything and installed directly into w3. Please help :smile3:

I've got about 8 more about everything with the legionares ( [Gn]legionare ,Legionare , Legionare24, Legionare1 [G]leginare[G] ... but none should be Banned or problem with MH. New accounts were created because of the PSR.

1. Run w3 fixer. Click "FIx Region of chaos" and set the correct path to your w3.
2. CLick on "Fix frozen throne" and set correct path to your w3.
3. Run gproxy
4. Run w3
5. Select gproxy gateway
6. ????
7. PROFIT


In future just repeat steps 4 and 5.

Just care with w3 fixer because it might add "Diablo II" on the end of w3 path, delete that.

i installed new loader and evething start great but i was boring(when i bored i know to **** things) so i run and wc3 fixer even if i dont have problems... and after that i got that msg after typing passowrd and war crahsed
first i didnt know what to do then i just reinstalled loader and delited fixer...and now its fine again

There you can delete it. Start>Run>Type regedit and follow ~ hkey_current_user->software->blizzard->w3->installpath and installpathX

Delete all the text where it says Diablo II.

Nothing is 100%. Some hackers will get eliminated only eventually and undetectable hacks and bypasses will appear with time.

I downloaded and installed with the new installer, but gproxy shuts down without ANY ERROR POST! I have visual c++ x86 and .net framework-4.. It shuts down at this line..

Yesterday, after the final implementation of the new Loader (with in-built GProxy) I managed to enter a DotA game, but was desynced in the first second. I managed to see my hero (Jakiro) and some weird pink cubes, before it brought me the merry message "You have been disconnected!". Here are my last GProxy logs:

Now, this happened a couple of times already, and I suspect it's something to do with my background programs. At that time I was running WinAmp, Skype, Google Chrome with about 15 open tabs (not that it should matter) and installing a game called Original War. The other 2 times too had WinAmp running, so could it be the reason for desyncing. Please advice and thank you!

When gproxy says that you have hacks in your pc it says what file it is.

Post here a screenshot of the message and we´ll help you.

I installed Frozen Throne 1.26a, eurobattlenet installer and gproxy. When i try to connect to the server I get an error message that sounds like this: "Unable to connect to Battle.net. If you have a modem you may need to connect to the Internet first. I'm connected to the internet, I added War3 and FT to firewall ex. list prior to all this. This is when I try to connect on Gproxy server, trying on non-gproxy server gives an error message about the version of the game. What should I do to make it work? thank you

1. Run w3 fixer. Click "FIx Region of chaos" and set the correct path to your w3.
2. CLick on "Fix frozen throne" and set correct path to your w3.
3. Run gproxy
4. Run w3
5. Select gproxy gateway
6. ????
7. PROFIT


In future just repeat steps 4 and 5.

Just care with w3 fixer because it might add "Diablo II" on the end of w3 path, delete that.

Hey I just downloaded this installer, and I've been unable to get anywhere with it. When I press Battlenet from my WC3 main menu the game crashes. Gproxy is running and I've ran the game from the eurobattle application. I've also used the WC3fixer already. Still no change.

I installed W3 and Eurobattle just today, and I can't run Gproxy, it shuts down. I ran the fixer but it is different than the one in the video (new version i suppose) and it doesn't. It just tells me to select my w3 folder and it "fixes" it instantly. Solution? :unsure:
