Don't get me wrong, but I don't think people on Xpam dig Hendrix, SRV, Solomon Burke, Bob Dylan, Johhny Cash and co. Respect them, maybe, but listen to them, most probably not, with the exception of Bonzy :) perhaps, and myb one or two dudes more...

she's still not hitting the right notes at several points into the song
I noticed the parts where she "modified the lyrics" as you so eloquently state
it's not about those parts of the song
it's other parts, where she's off key

oh, also
modifying lyrics means to rewrite them (which is not what you are talking about :p)
and it in no way or shape makes her being off key tolerable
professional singers should be able to hit the right notes when they should hit them
over and over and over
if she can't do that
she can use autotune
like that, maybe it would be bearable to listen to the song
