Problems joining games

I have problems creating and joining games. I want to play with my friend, we are both online in the server, and we see other people's games, some we can join, some not, but we can't join the ones we create and we want to play together.
I have installed everything, I have opened my router ports and also given permissions in the firewall, I have no clue what else to do.
I have read all what is posted in the forums and nothing helped.
Any advice?

Yeah, all the oh's have been really hepful. Don't take it wrong, but that reply is silly, if you want to increase the number of replies and so to be a big shot in forums, write something useful.

1) My question is not a stupid one as you may think, there are known issues with inaccessability at same network.
2) I am trying to get information to help YOU
3) The only satisfaction i get here is knowledge that YOU are playing without troubles.
