ok i hope i'm in the right place for this, i wanna know from ppl that are experienced with this, what codecs/filters/players are the best to see movies properly, and i wanna know if movies that are beeing watched online need codecs.

you dont need any, just use KMplayer.
If u insist to use codecs, then use FFDshow

dunno how nowadays, but long long time best pack of codecs was (imo) K-lite Mega Codec PACK (including FFDshow) +external AC3 filter

agree, K_Lite codec pack with media player classic can play just anything (using it for several years).


to see movies properly
There is no such thing. You won't see a movie better if you have like a different codec. If a movie requiers a specific codec you need it to play the movie, but it doesn't have anything to do with the quality.

Online movies->Those use flash (when you're watching), but are ofc encoded before uploading.
